Katie was 19 years old when she married her soul-mate, Johann "John" Fausch. This happy union was blessed with six daughters—Rosa, Ida, Margaret, Marie, Katherine, and Clara. Tragically, John passed away on 10 Jan 1902 from pleurisy caused by pneumonia.
