Kate was born on 19 Nov 1897, the fifth daughter of Johann "John" Fausch and Anna Margaretha "Katie" Meng-Fausch. Her older sisters were Rosa, Ida, Margaret, and Marie. A younger sister, Clara, would join the group three years later.
Kate married Julius J. Oswald on 01 Nov 1915, and to this union was born a daughter, Thea Ardis Oswald. Kate was also the loving mother of Leo Robert Oswald. On 09 Jul 1923, Kate married John Mesch, and to this union was born a son, John Joseph Mesch.
Tragically, Kate passed away from an embolism four days after the birth of John Joseph. By her daughter Thea's testimonials, Kate was a wonderful mother who took great delight in spending time with her children.
