James Norvel Bascom, 40, died suddenly at his home Monday afternoon following a heart attack.
Mr. Bascom was born July 19, 1904 at Vernal, Utah. He lived there until two years ago when he came to Idaho Falls to make his home with his mother, Mrs. Mae Bascom. Previous to his death he was employed by the Denver stockyards, and also worked as a stockman for Nick Burgraff.
Beside his mother, Mr. Bascom is survived by a sister, Mrs. Zelda Marshall, West Yellowstone, and three brothers: Roy Bascom, Idaho Falls; Victor Bascom, Bishop, California; and Pfc. Llewellyn Bascom, stationed in Germany.
