Perry Bascom, 67, Idaho Falls, former employee of the City of Idaho Falls Parks Department, died at his apartment Tuesday of natural causes.
He was born May 8, 1913 at Vernal, Utah to William Henry and Mary Mae Lockes Bascom. He attended schools there and as a young man, worked with his father herding sheep. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army and was in the Army of occupation in Germany.
He worked for the city of Idaho Falls Parks Department and in potato warehouses. He lived her for many years. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mrs. LaDean Olson, and Mrs. Ruth Bascom; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Peart, all of Idaho Falls.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Taylor Cemetery with Bishop L. Reed Monson of the Idaho Falls 30th Ward officiating.
