I am working on my nephews branch of our family tree and Frederick Rake is his 5th Great Grandfather.

There is confusion regarding this Frederick Rake born in 1811 and the one born in 1814. I was thinking at first that it was two different Frederick's, but after reviewing the Census's they are one in the same.

This Frederick (Find A Grave Memorial# 19846456), and the Fredrick I messaged you on are the same person.

Frederick was first married to Eleanor "Nellie" Masters and after she passed he remarried to Margaret Henry.

In the 1856 Iowa Census he is listed as widowed with some of his children still at home. Then, he married Margaret Henry, April 1, 1957. In the 1860 United States Federal Census you find him with his new wife Margaret and a couple of his sons from Eleanor along with a couple new children with Margaret.

I know there were often documented dates of birth that differ. I do believe this is one of those cases. It would be great if we could get it all cleared up.

Please let me know if I can help give any more information you might need.

Thanks for your time, and all the work you have put into the ancestry you share with everyone. I truly appreciate it!

Sincerely,

Suzanne Ranson Rummerfield
