Funeral services were held today for J. M. Addleman, 70, of West Liberty, who died Wednesday afternoon in Mercy hospital.
Mr. Addleman was one of six children of A. D. and Prudence Addleman, and was born January 16, 1871, in Lake township
. He had passed his entire life in Muscatine county and was a resident of West Liberty for 30 years. --- For a number of years he was associated in business with his uncle, W. C. Addleman, owner and manager of the West Liberty grain elevator. Later he was employed in the H. J. Smith and W. T. Grigg garages.
For the last 15 years he had been in the general insurance business. --- Surviving are three brothers, Charles and Frank Addleman, West Liberty, J. L. Addleman, Salem, Mo., and a number of nieces and nephews. ---
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church with the Rev. W. A. Smith in charge.
The remains were buried in the High Prairie cemetery in Lake township.
