Ruth L. Williams, 96, of Beech Creek, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018.
Born Feb. 6, 1922, in Salona, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ada McKibben Andrews.
Ruth was a 1940 graduate of Mill Hall High School.
On April 21, 1946, she married John L. Williams with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2011.
Ruth was employed in the Cafeteria at Bald Eagle Nittany High School, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of the Laurel Run United Methodist Church.
Ruth was a past member of the Lamar Grange.
In her younger years, she was a farm girl and did a little bit of everything. More recently she enjoyed doing puzzles, sewing and taking walks.
Surviving were one son; one daughter; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Theodore “Ted” Williams and three sisters; Kathryn Haagen, Helen Holdren and Clara Muthler.
A funeral service was held at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Paula Smith officiating.
Private burial was at Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be made to Laurel Run United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
