Born in Greenwood, a son of the late William Toy and Irene Driver Lindley, Mr. Lindley was retired from JPS Mills.
Survivors include his wife of the home; children, Maxie F. Lindley Jr. of Indiana, Ronald D. Lindley of Florence, Sara D. Lindley Crosby of Florida, and M. Shane Lindley of Anderson; a brother William "Bugs" Lindley of Anderson; and grandchildren, Randy Lindley, Gunner and Trace Crosby.
The family will meet with friends and relatives Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the chapel of Cremation Society of SC.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 414 Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601.
Cremation Society of SC is assisting the Lindley family.
