William Junior Lindley, age 71, of 104 Robin Circle, Starr, passed away at AnMed Health Medical Center on Monday, April 23, 2012.

Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late William Toy Lindley and the late Irene Driver Lindley. William retired from BASF after 30 years of service in the Quality Control department. He was a scoutmaster for 13 years with Troop #47 and earned the achievement of Scout Master of The Year in 1984. He also served in the US Army.

Survivors include his spouse, Mrs. Brenda Jean Mitchell Lindley; sons, Lee Lindley (Nancy) of Honea Path, SC, Blake Lindley (Felisha) of Starr, SC; two grandchildren, Brooks and Logan Lindley.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.B. Lindley, Maxie Lindley, and Reuben Lindley; and a sister, Sarah Lindley.

A Funeral Service honoring the life of William Lindley will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 4:00pm with Tony Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at The Forest Lawn Mausoleum.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
