Tingle, Russell (R.S.), age 79, of Bedford died Sun., Apr. 30, 2000 at Tn-County Baptist Hospital. He was a native of Washington Co., the son of the late Avery Oldham and Clara Louise Benham Tingle, a retired employee of Kawneer Company, Carrollton, for 20 years and a member of Poplar Ridge Baptist Church, Trimble Co.
He is survived his wife, Agnes Ricketts Tingle, Bedford; two daughterss: Virginia Snyder, Bedford; Mrs. Michael (Jo Ann) Higbe, New Washington, IN.; two sons: Russell Shelton Tingle Jr., Bedford; James Rodney Tingle, LaGrange; four sisters: Lucille Ricketts, Scottsburg, IN.; Juanita Rucker, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Ingabrand and Sue Sweazy, all of Campbellsburg; one brother, Marvin O. Tingle, LaGrange; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will held Weds., May 3 at 2 p.m. at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Brother Paul J. Limato Jr., pastor of Poplar Ridge Baptist Church, Bedford officiated. Rev. Johnny McDowell, pastor of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, Bedford, assisted. Interment will be in New Castle Cem.
