Rae was a 1954 graduate of Elkhart Central High School. She married Jerry Alan Lane December 31, 1955 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elkhart.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; being fully dedicated to her children and her grandchildren in all aspects of their lives. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she was also a member of the Rosary Society at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Surviving is her husband, Jerry, 5 children, Jerri Rae (Bob) Klose, Jo Ella Graney of Fort Wayne, Mark (Raeanna) Lane, Miles Lane of Pompano Beach, FL and Mathew (Tammi) Lane. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great grandson, due in April that she anxiously awaited and her sister, Linda (Travis) Burleson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James (Judith) Messner.
The family will greet friends Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
