Beverly J. Scroggins, age 84 formerly of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Desert View Senior Living in Las Vegas, NV.
Beverly J. Scroggins was born on October 23, 1934 in Davis City, IA; the daughter of Charles and Opal Maude (Hewson) McLain. She graduated from Lamoni High School in 1952.
On December 24, 1953, Beverly was united in marriage to Robert E. Scroggins.
She worked for many years for the GSA Division of the United States Government. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, working crossword puzzles, attending church and spending time with her family. Beverly and Bob enjoyed traveling. They had been to every state in the nation and spent their winters in Hawaii.
Beverly is survived by her husband Bob Scroggins, children: Robin Horton and husband Jeff of Frisco, TX, Corbin Scroggins of Daingerfield, TX and Kent Scroggins of Nebraska City, NE; Roxanna Sok and husband Mark of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren: Alex and Alissa Horton, Andrew and Joseph Fauver, Shelby (Tony) Vodicka, Roxann (Chad) Osborn and Robert Scroggins; sister Dorothy Boswell of Mesa, AZ; special niece Gail Parks and husband Duane, and special great-nephew Maverick Parks all of Dunbar, NE; special family friend Bud Bliss of Las Vegas, NV; other nieces, nephews; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Opal McLain; mother-in-law Etta Walker Scroggins and brothers: Don, Ralph and Harold McLain.
