Mary Edith Jones, 73, of Fredericksburg died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at her residence.

Born March 29, 1931, in Hartwood, she was a member of Berea Baptist Church at Berea.

Survivors include her husband, C.W. Jones of Fredericksburg; a son, Clayton Jones Jr. of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Barbara Maes of Woodbridge; three brothers, James Abel of Fredericksburg, John Abel of West Virginia and William Abel of Hartwood; a sister, Ruby Morgan of Spotsylvania; four grandchildren, Jennifer Maes, Mandy Woods, Heidi Jones and C.J. Reid; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove, with the Rev. John Swain officiating. Burial will be in the Jones family cemetery in Spotsylvania.

Pallbearers will be Mike and Bobby Jones, Gerald Abel, and Bucky, Andy and Sambo Wheeler.

The family will receive friends from noon until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
