Grace I. “Sis” Cambron, age 89 of Raywick, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

She was born June 5, 1926 in Raywick to the late Joseph Clell and Josephine Galloway Mattingly. She formerly worked at Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chester “Check” Cambron; three sons, Joseph Douglas, John Barry and Carl Michael Cambron; two brothers, Charles Leon “Doc” Mattingly and Thomas Jasper “Pete” Mattingly.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Johnson (Albert) of Lebanon; two sons, George Cambron (Betty) and Dennis Cambron (Nadine) all of Raywick; 10 grandchildren, Chuck Cambron, Mark Cambron, Gi Gi Edelen, Jason Cambron, Michael Cambron, Shelly Cambron, Jay Hutchins, Craig Johnson, Tracy Johnson and Matt Cambron; 28 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Ann Thomas of Raywick, Virginia “Bussie” Thomas and Diane Mills (Tommy) all of Louisville; four brothers, Clell “Al” Mattingly Jr., Larry “Hawk” Mattingly (Dorothy) and Gerald “Jake” Mattingly (Karen) all of Raywick and Merriell Mattingly (Opal) of Lebanon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. The Rev. James W. Graf will officiate.
