Rachel “Rae” Florence Stephens
Rachel Florence Stephens known to her friends and family as “Rae” was born in Grant, Nebraska, March 3, 1922 and passed on to Glory July 29, 2012 in Visalia, California at the age of 90. She grew up in the Woodlake Exeter area meeting the love of her life, Richard “Gene” Stephens and marrying him in 1945. Gene went home to Jesus in 2000.
Rae was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Randy and wife Lorna, and Sandy and husband, Gene Baldwin.
God blessed her with 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Rae was kind and always had time to listen to others. She possessed a sweet spirt and a beautiful quick and ready smile. Loving the lord with all her heart and worshipping Him in song were passions that took her to heights of great joy. Her sense of humor was second to none. Rae loved to tell jokes because she knew the value of laughter and is probably even now telling some good ones in heaven, delivering the punchlines like a pro.
Funeral services will be in the pavilion at the Visalia Cemetery on Monday, August 6th at 9 AM. Arrangements are by Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel
