She was married on Sept. 13, 1930 to Crosby Smith Chestnut, they divorced June 8, 1945 with four children, Halberta (Chestnut) Bourne, Betty Edge (Chestnut) Reaves, Elroy Smith "Sonny" Chestnut and Linda (Chestnut) Buck. She was married to Admiral Dewey Edge, who died in 1953 and then she was married to William Westbrook. She was preceded in death by her parnets, her son Elroy, she is survived by three daughters, Halberta C. Bourne, Longs, SC; Betty Edge Reaves and Linda C. Buck of NC,
