She was born in Logan County, Kentucky on December 29, 1929 to the late Grover Cleveland and Leona May (Ramsey) Hankins. She is a member of the Adairville Baptist Church, was a farmer, Former Deputy with the Logan County Sheriff Department, and a Nurse. Billie is preceded in death by a son Terry McCoy, two brothers; Floyd Hankins and Harold Hankins and six sisters; Elizabeth Dickson, Ruth Holloway, Lucille Sanders, Annabelle Robins, Frances Pearson and Louise Bennett.
She is survived by her:
Husband of 69 years Claude McCoy, son David McCoy (Susan) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, daughter Debbie Britt (Danny) of Auburn, Kentucky, brother James Hankins of California, four grandchildren; Holly, Dan, Shane Ann and Claude David and five great grandchildren; Cookie, Crandal, Travis, Wade and Trenton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Billie Hankins McCoy will be conducted Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Gene Vincent officiating and burial to follow in the Dripping Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Monday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 1:00 P.M.
Pallbearers: Claude David McCoy Jr., Dan Britt Jr., Travis Pond, Crandal Barrow, Traven Pond, Mark Barrow and Rick Pike."
