Grover Hankins, Olmstead Dies

Mr. Grover C. Hankins, 81, a retired farmer of Olmstead, died at 7 a.m. Satruday June 18, at Logan County Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Wallace Jordan at the Olmstead Baptist Church Monday, June 20, at 2 p.m., with burial in the cemetery of Dripping Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Hankins was the son of William and Elizabeth Sloan Hankins and was born in Jackson County, Tenn., Nov. 8, 1884.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Ira Dixon, Louisville, Mrs. Doc Holloway, Mrs. Thomas Lee Sanders, and Mrs. Bert Robinson, all of Olmstead, Mrs. Lloyd Pearson, Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Clarence Bennett, Nashville, and Mrs. Claude Mccoy, Oakvill: three sons Floyd, Clarksville, Jimmy, Costa Mesa, Calif., and Harold, Olmstead; one stepson, Jimmy Jenkins, Tucson, Ariz.; one brother Jim, Oakville; 34 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.

Mayfield and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
