Born Sept. 17, 1926, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Rader and Amanda (Hartzel) Rader.
Doris was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, where she participated in the women's choir and volunteered in the school cafeteria. She also belonged to St. Anne's Guild. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, painting, playing cards and going on trips to the casino. Above all, Doris loved spending time with her family, especially during their weekly Sunday lunches. She will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four sons, two daughter-in-laws, her brother, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund C. "Ed" Murray, who passed away on June 26, 2013; her son, Daniel J. Murray; her sisters, Arlene Lackey and Ethel Mae Hannah; and her brother, John Rader.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the VNA Hospice nurses and staff.
MURRAY - Friends of Doris Loretta Murray, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.
Doris will be laid to rest at St. Gregory Cemetery.
