Sarah Grieves, daughter of John Greves of Ohio County and later Grayson County, Kentucky, was born September 15, 1793 in Kentucky. She was the second wife of Jeremiah Bozorth. They were married March 8, 1814 in Ohio County, Kentucky. At that time she became the stepmother of his children by his first wife, Martha "Patsey" Rose, the daughter of Thomas Rose and Barbary Crenshaw, who were originally from Granville County, North Carolina and later lived in Hardin and Grayson Counties, Kentucky.

Sarah Grieves Bozorth died on March 24, 1850 and was buried in the old Bozorth Family Cemetery established by her husband's grandfather Jonathan Bozorth on land he had settled by 1810 near Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky. It is now known as the Taylor Cemetery.
