Jeremiah Bozorth was the son of Jonathan Bozorth and Mary Hargis. He was born 21 Jun 1787 in what was then Nelson County, Virginia and became Nelson County, Kentucky in 1792. He was shown in the 1810 Census of Grayson County, Kentucky as Jerry Bozorth.

Jeremiah was married twice. His first wife was Martha "Patsy" Rose, daughter of Thomas Rose and Barbary Crenshaw. They were married on January 1, 1808 in Hardin County, Kentucky. They were the parents of:

Jeremiah and Sarah were buried in the old Bozorth family cemetery established by his father Jonathan Bozorth on his land near Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky. It is now known as the Taylor Cemetery.
