Cosette YaVonne McNamee, 88, of Waterloo, died at ManorCare Health Services, on Monday, December 31, 2018 of natural causes.

Cosette was born on November 20, 1930 in Gaylord, MI, the daughter of Gilbert and Katherine (Point) Clemens.

She attended high school in Marion. After high school, she worked at Killian’s Department Store until she was married.

Cosette married Burdette W. McNamee on January 22, 1954 in Waterloo.

She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Writers Guild. She enjoyed riding her bicycle, riding horses, and playing games such as UNO, Flinch, Skip-Bo and Aggravation.

Survived by her husband, Burdette of Waterloo; son, Gilbert McNamee of Cedar Falls; daughter, Melissa McNamee of Waterloo; and a sister, Aseneth Nelson of Illinois.

Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia McNamee; two sisters, Nancy Purdy and Zokey Skeel; and a brother, Gilbert “Buddy” Clemens.
