George Guy Faulk Sr. age 87 of Nakina, died Sunday December 23, 2018 in Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC. Born in Columbus County, NC., he was the son of the late George Randle Faulk and Amanda Long Faulk.

He was a member of Seven Creeks Baptist Church where he served as secretary & treasurer for forty five years. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy, where he served honorably until he was discharged. Among many of his accomplishments, he was chairman of the Democratic Bughill Precinct # 3, and he was a farmer and logger all of his life, but his biggest accomplishment that he was most proud of was his family. He always said he was a blessed man in many ways who never lost trust in his Good Lord.

He is survived by his wife of sixty three years of marriage, Thetus Ward Faulk. One son, Guy Faulk Jr. and wife Emily of Nakina, NC., Three daughters: Debbie Register of Crusoe Island, Sandra Simmons and husband Ronnie of Crusoe Island, Faye Kinlaw and husband Jimmy of Whiteville, NC. One sister, Marie Ellis of Wilmington, NC., nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and his beloved K9 pet Phoebe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Roy Faulk. Two sisters: Zula Chestnutt and Letha Stanley, and a son-in-law Guy Register.

Visitation will be held Wednesday December 26, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 27, 2018 at 11:00am in the Seven Creeks Baptist Church, Nakina, NC with burial to follow in the Long Cemetery, Nakina, NC. Serving as pallbearers, his grandsons, Jeremy Register, Casey Register, Justin Register, Robbie Jacobs, Davy Simmons, Drake Simmons, and honorary pallbearers, Josh Faulk and Blake Register
