Mr. Leight was born on August 29, 1937, in York, and was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Emenheiser) Leight.
Donald worked as a mail clerk for the U.S. Post Office and was also a school bus driver for 20 years. He served in the United States Army. He was a life-time member of Chapel Church. He enjoyed all outdoor sports, but especially loved playing tennis and riding his bike on the Rail Trail.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Tammy Eyler of Red Lion, Todd Leight of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Troy Leight of Chicago, Ill.; and his three grandchildren, Kristy Eyler and Abby and Nathan Leight. Donald is also survived by his brothers, John and William Leight and his sisters, Gladys Beal, Marian Hovis and Charlotte Sechrist.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Chapel Church, 3050 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356 on Friday, September 20, and will begin at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Robert A. Vizthum officiating.
