Chewsville -- LEO ELWOOD MARSHALL, 65, died Wednesday at VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Born in Downsville, he was the son of Henry C. and Annie M. Haines Marshall.
He had been employed by the Chewsville Co-op and also by the Oswald Nursery in Smithburg. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Ann M. Davis Marshall; daughter, Brenda L. Marshall, at home; two sons, Leon E. Jr. and Gardner E. Marshall, both at home; one step-daughter, Elaine M. Shaffer, Thurmont; and two grandchildren.
Services were held at the Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
