HENRY CLAY MARSHALL, 86, died at the Springfield State Hospital Thursday. Born and reared in the Sharpsburg district, he was the son of John and Wilhelmina (Bentz) Marshall and had farmed in the Downsville and Funkstown areas most of his life. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by sons, Ira G. and Leo E., Chewsville; daughters, Mrs. Isaac Davis and Miss Mary Marshall, both of Hagerstown; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Rouzer Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Donald Warrenfeltz. Interment in Rest Haven Cemetery.
