Mrs. Vergie Ellen Bowman Harold, 90, of Village Care, formerly of the Franklin community, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000. Mrs. Harold was born in Patrick County, Va., April 25, 1910, the daughter of the late Percy Lee and Mary Etta Belton Bowman. She was a member of Doe Run Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harold was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Homer Bowman. Burial will follow in the Harold Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time for the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Doe Run Baptist Church Chimes Fund, c/o Perlie Hiatt, 1532 Wensley Drive, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
