Clemens Fuhrmann, 88, formerly of Sheboygan Falls and a resident of Villa Loretta Nursing Home, Mount Calvary for the past 3 years, died Saturday morning, September 7, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, following a brief illness.
He was born June 1, 1897, in St. Joe, a son of the late Christian and Catherine Wirschem Fuhrmann.
On April 23, 1938 he married Elnora Schroeder in Sheboygan Falls. The couple lived in Sheboygan Falls, where he operated Clem’s Tavern for many years. His wife preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Sheboygan Falls.
Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Erwin Blanck and Mrs. Edna Olson, both of West Allis, Mrs. Delia Gibson, of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Norbert Mueller, of New Holstein, and Mrs. Arthur Mueller of St. Cloud; and two brothers, Norman, of Fond du Lac, and Arthur of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by two sisters, and four brothers.
The funeral Mass was at St. Mary Catholic Church, Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. Jerome Stoll, pastor, as celebrant. Burial was in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
