Frank Fuhrmann Sr., 73, of Marytown, died Monday afternoon at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, after a six-month illness.

He was born March 4, 1905, at St. Joe in Fond du Lac County, a son of Christ and Katherine Werschem Fuhrmann. On July 20, 1937, he married Margaret Schoenborn at Marytown. He and his wife were engaged in the tavern and restaurant business for the past 40 years and operated Frank’s Bar at Marytown since 1948. His wife died in February.

Mr. Fuhrmann was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Marytown, the Holy Name Society of the parish, and the Fond du Lac County tavernkeepers Association.

Survivors are a son, Frank Jr. of Kenosha; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Greenspon of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Art Mueller of St. Cloud, Mrs. Norbert Mueller of New Holstein, Mrs. Adelia Gibson of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. William Olson and Mrs. Erwin Blanch, both of West Allis, and five brothers, Joe and Art of Plymouth, Clem of Sheboygan Falls, Walter of St. Joe and Norman of Fond du Lac.

A sister and a brother preceded him in death.

The funeral Mass will be Thursday at the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, the Rev. John Rausch, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
