James O. Allen, age 82 of Monroe, died on November 16, 2018. He was born in Walton County on February 22, 1936 to the late Paul True Allen and the late Lelia Mae Deloach Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Sarah Frances McDougal Allen.

Surviving are: daughter and son in law, Vickie and Fred Clontz of Monroe; son and daughter in law, Mike and Carol Allen of Good Hope; sister, Nina Nix of Monroe; grandchildren, Amber Snively and Brandon Thacker, Ashlea and Sarge Cochran, Andrew Allen, K.C. and Kim Cochran, Amanda Cochran; great grandchildren, Skylar Snively, Lonnie Snively, Kadence Thacker, Jacie Carson, Tristan Watson; great great grandchildren, Hunter Bagwell, Kaiden Bagwell, Alyssa Bagwell, and Wyatt Cochran.

Funeral Services were held on Monday November 19th at 2:30 PM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Durden officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
