The Abilene Reporter-News, No. 302, Wednesday Evening, April 16, 1958, page 6-A - "Mrs. Adella Jones Funeral at Moran - MORAN (RNS) - Mrs. Adella Jones, resident of Moran since 1912, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene after a short illness. -- Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Moran Church of Christ with Sanford Tune, El Campo minister officiating. Burial will be in the Moran Cemetery with the Wylie Funeral Home here in charge. -- Mrs. Jones was born in Oxford, Miss., on Jan. 9, 1868. She married D. D. Jones, who died in 1941, in 1893. They came to Moran from Bell County in 1912. -- Survivors are: Two daughters, Mrs. H. A. Pruitt of Putnam, and Mrs. B. H. Yeager of Brownwood; three sons, Granville Jones of Ranger, Warlick Jones on Moran, and Bertram Jones of Cisco; two sisters, Mrs. Dovie Gunn of Spur, and Mrs. Annie Park of Eldorado, Ark.; and three brothers, John B. Gunn of Troy, Prentice Gunn of Troy, and Grover Gunn of Temple; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren."
