Olanda Kahler, 92, Gillett, died Friday evening, Aug 13, 1993, at Birch Hill Health Care Center, Shawano. She was born June 1, 1901 in Gillett to the late Albert and Augusta (Rusch) Piepenburg. Olanda married Walter Kahler July 23, 1919 in Menominee, Mich.: he preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1984. She was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church, Gillett.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Donna, Kaukauna: two daughters and sons-in-law, Marvel and Robert Elbe, Mountain; Laurene and Glen Thielke, Lakewood; nine grandchildren: ten great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
Friends may call at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, from 5 to 7 p.m. today and then at Tabor United Methodist Church, Gillett, on Monday after 12:30 p.m. Funeral 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with Pastor Jim Utpadel officiateing. Interment in Wanderer's Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
