She was married to John H. Bauer August 8, 1923. To this union five children were born; three girls and two boys. The family moved to the Chester community in 1945, they lived in Orlando, Florida in 1955 and 1956 and returned to Chester in 1957.
Margaret was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical church (sic) at Gladstone and joined the Lutheran church of the Missouri Synod after her marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother and one sister who died in infancy. Besides her husband, John, she is survived by her children; Barbara and Dale of Chester, Mrs. Guila Vinkenberg of Gilead, Melvin of Winter Park, Florida, Mrs. Donna Ward of Grandview, Washington, seven grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 15, from St. John's Lutheran Church, Chester, Rev. R.J. Leege officiating. St. John's Choir sang, accompanied by Miss Louanna Grabau at the organ. Pallbearers were Walter C. Poppe, Keith Johnson, Charles Kuhlmann, John Flathman, Jr., Arthur Vorderstrasse and Albert Jungck. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery (sic). Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
