GEORGE HAMMEL
Formerly a Resident of Madison, Died at Indianapolis Yesterday
Relatives in this city received a long distance message yesterday afternoon announcing the death of George Hammel, aged 65, which occurred yesterday morning at his home in Indianapolis following a protracted illness of complications. The remains will arrive here on the noon train Thursday and will be taken to the home of the decedent's sister, Mrs. Sadie Adams, north Walnut street.
Mr. Hammel was a former resident of Madison and is survived by a wife, formerly Miss Ida Shockley, of this city, and several grown children. He also leaves two brothers, Messrs. Oscar and Harvey Hammel, and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Adams, of this city, and Mrs. Cavallo Adams, of the Brooksburg road.

The remains of George Hammel, who died at Indianapolis Tuesday, arrived on the noon train today and were taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Sadie Adams, north Walnut street, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. The interment will be in Springdale cemetery. The Red Men, in which order the decedent held membership, will have charge of the burial service.

FUNERAL SERVICES
Of the Late George Hammel Held This Morning.
Funeral services for the late George Hammel were conducted at 10 o'clock this morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Sadie Adams, on Walnut street, by Rev. McAlpin and Rev. Pearce. Many relatives and friends of the decedent were present at the funeral. The burial was in Springdale cemetery where the Red Men conducted their burial service. The following gentlemen served as pall-bearers:
