MRS. MYRTLE SHIELDS
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Central Church of Christ, Ardmore, for Mrs. Myrtle Mae Shields, 77, who died Sept. 23 at her home.
She was born May 20, 1892 in Texas and had lived in Ardmore for 32 years. She operated the Courthouse Cafe for many years. Her husband, Samuel V. Shields, died in 1940.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Jarnagin and Mrs. Jearl Lowe, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Charley Smith, Marietta, and Bryant Smith, Midwest City; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Bigham, Ardmore, and Mrs. Della Bigham, Marietta; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by Idus England. Burial services will be 3 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City under direction of Goodrich Funeral Home.
