Stephen Arthur Berger, 75, of 1114 S. Second, died Thursday in Pekin Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1886, in Dillon Township, the son of Stephen and Martha Jane May Berger. He married Bertha Fischer May 4, 1913, at Pekin. She died June 28, 1954. He married Edith Mae Gent July 18, 1957, at Pekin.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Victor L. and Marvin A., Pekin; and two brothers, Albert and Harry, Pekin. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He had been a welder 40 years for the Murphy-Walsh Co., retiring 10 years ago.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Cemetery.
