SANDY RIDGE, NC ~ Barbara Ann Kirkman Rose, 84, passed away, Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Stokes County Nursing Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Rose was born June 11, 1934, in Guilford County, to the late Romney Andrew and Salome Ann Preston Kirkman. She was a former employee of Unifi, Inc. and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Lee Rose; a son, Dennis Lee Rose; a brother, Rayford Allen Kirkman; and a sister, Judith Leyvon McKinney.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Gallimore, and husband, Kenny; a granddaughter, Joey Michele Steele; two great-grandchildren, Steven and Bryce Duggins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and other times at the home of Joey Steele, 1030 Steele Acres Rd, Sandy Ridge, NC.
