Mildred L. "Millie" Rose, 86, of Flora, IL died at 3:25 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.

She was born February 23, 1921 in Clay County, IL to Ray & Bertha (Hoard) Barbee. She married Paul Rose. Paul and Millie were married for 67 years.

She worked as a clerk at Wieldt's in Olney, IL for 20 years and attended Harmony United Methodist Church. Millie enjoyed quilting, reading, cooking and her family.

She is survived by her husband: Paul Rose of Flora; two sons: Paul (JoAnn) Rose, Kenneth "Biff" (Pam) Rose; a daughter: Jennifer (Jim) Perry of Xenia; three brothers: Victor (Fern) Barbee, Rollie (Bonnie) Barbee, James (Margaret) Barbee, a sister: Betty Adams of Effingham; four grandchildren: Rae Ann (Tim) Oestreich, Julie (Matt) Coale, Chris (Dee) Rose, Justin (Bridget) Perry, seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Donald Barbee & an infant brother)and two sisters (Lois Barbee & Helen Wilson).

Funeral services were held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Flora.
