Jimmy E. Anderson
FERTILE – Jimmy E. Anderson, 63, of Fertile, formerly of Mason City, died Saturday (May 9, 1998) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church, Mason City, with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will take place in Brush Point Cemetery, Hanlontown.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. James Lutheran Church, Mason City, and from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Mittelstadt Funeral Home, Lake Mills, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Jimmy E. Anderson was born April 28, 1935, in Iowa City, the son of John E. and Elsie M. (Statzer) Anderson.
On Feb. 14, 1985, he was united in marriage to Mary Jones at St. James Lutheran Church, Mason City.
He worked several years for Mason City Brick & Tile and retired from Mercy Hospital.
His hobbies included fishing and gardening.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mary, of Fertile; his children, Michael Anderson and his wife, Tracey, of Mason City, Jim Anderson and his wife, Stacey, of Cedar Falls, Tim Anderson and his fiancée, Tammie Trappe, of Mason City, Stephanie Gorder and her husband, Jeff, of Boone, Jamie Anderson of Mason City; grandchildren, David Anderson, Kristi Jo Anderson and Alicia Anderson; step-children, Theresa Cheever and her husband, Todd, Nick West and his wife, Cheryl, Charlie West and his wife, Julie, and Kathy Schnepf, all of Mason City, Steve Youngton of Forest City, Larry Youngton of Oelwien, Rose Youngton of Mason City, Kenny Younton of Raymond, Tony Ramos of Oelwien, Brenda Ramos of Evansdale, Mike Ramos of Mason City; 20 step-grandchildren; four brothers, Don (Bub) Anderson and his wife, Alice, Harold Anderson of his wife, Loretta, of Mason City, Dan Anderson and his wife, JoAnn, of Clear Lake, Ken Anderson and his wife Ruth, of Mason City; three sisters, Doris Coleman and her husband, Herb, of Mason City, Barbara Davisson and her husband, John, of Charlotte, N.C., Norma Farrell and her husband, Jerome P., of Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
