Miss V. Irene Epler, 78, formerly of 714 E. Church St., died Saturday afternoon in the Country Court Nursing Home in Knox County.
Born December 25, 1899 in Guernsey County, she was a longtime area resident, having taught in the Westerville and Marion Schools for 47 years. Miss Epler was a graduate of Ohio Northern University, a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Retired Teachers Association, the Women's Business and Professional Organization, the Quest Club, the House and Garden Club and the Eastern Star of Worthington.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Jewel Hanna, of Florida, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, with burial in Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
