Almalu Barber went to meet her Lord September 4, 2018. She was born in Santa Rosa, Texas, September 21, 1934 to William and Thelma Barnett. Almalu was raised in large family who loved performing Christian music. This lifelong passion led her to serve as music minister in several churches. As a graduate of Tarleton State University she taught for 26 years. Even with all of her accomplishments there was nothing that brought her more joy than family.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, other relatives and many friends.
