Sarah was the 1st of 6 children of Henry Yerian and his 1st wife, Eleanor McBride.
Sarah was living at home with her parents, age 16, in the 1850 census of Washington County, Ohio.
She married on March 13, 1852, Washington County, Ohio, to John W. Dobbins.
They appear in the 1860 census of Perry County, Illinois, the 1870 census of Union Township, Wood County, West Virginia, and the 1880 census of Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia.
Sarah was living widowed in Wood County, West Virginia, at the time of the 1900 and 1910 census.

DEATH OF MRS. SARAH L. DUBBS (sp)
Mrs. Sarah L. Dubbs (sp), aged 77 years, widow to the late John W. Dubbs (sp) died early this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.D. Foster, of North Parkersburg, with whom she had been living for some time.
Mrs. Dubbs (sp) was a native of this county, and was a most estimable woman, highly esteemed by all, who knew her. She was the mother of thirteen children, three of whom survive, they being Mrs. W.M. Pettyman of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. C.D. Foster of North Parkersburg, and Mrs. W.B. McDonald of this city.
