Edward Audley Coward was born September 20, 1888; he died April 7, 1930; he married Ines Dykes May 25, 1913. Inez was born in 1892. Audley gave his marriage bond for $1250.00 May 23, 1913; J. M. Fugate signed with him. Audley and Ines were married by The Right Reverend W. E. Riggs. Audley worked for the Bell Telephone Company; he was shot to death by a hold-up man, an escaped convict. His death certificate found in the State of Tennessee Archives indicates that he was in Memphis at the time of his death, though his residence was listed as Morristown. Audley was buried in the Coward Cemetery in the country near St. Clair, Tennessee. Audley and Ines had a son: 2333-Walter Larue Coward.
