James Collins, age 78 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, Clinton, MO. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 22 from 6:00-8:00pm at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. A funeral service for James will be on Thursday, August 23 at 11am at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Mo. Interment will follow at Vansant Road Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clinton Eagles and may be left in care of the funeral home.

James was born on August 11, 1940 in Deepwater, Mo to James and Ethel (Pennington) Collins. James retired from Hallmark after 40 years. He was a member of Northeast Baptist Church, Clinton. James loved his family and his dogs. He was a member of the Clinton Eagles. James loved to "Facebook" and to work in the yard.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister, Betty Jean Long, brother, Andy Collins and his twin brother, John Collins.

James is survived by his son, James (Jodi) Collins, Independence, daughter, Kimberly Haverland, Clinton, brothers, Carl (Dixie) Collins, Creighton, Phillip (Rita) Collins, Independence, sisters, Patricia Collins, Clinton, Donna McCurdy, Clinton, JoAnne Cloud, Farr, Tx, Hazel Collins, Clinton, grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Samantha Malone, Heather Deley, Christopher Maestas, Michael Maestas, great-grandchildren, Emma Stewart, Mallory Maestas, Lucas Deley, Austin Maestas, Asher Neeley, Ryker Deley, and a host of family, nieces and nephews.
