Betty J. Long, age 81 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Twin Lakes Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home. Betty was born October 19, 1931 in Deepwater, Missouri the daughter of James Edward and Ethel Marie (Pennington) Collins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendly Pentecostal Church of Clinton, and VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald Long, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Among survivors are her husband, Marvin S. of the home; four sons, Marvin L. Long of Republic, Missouri, Lester F. Long of Clinton, Missouri, Alvin Long of Clinton, Missouri, and David Long of Pikeville, North Carolina; two daughters, Kathryn Collins of Clinton, Missouri and Marie Rash of Knox City, Missouri, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers, James Collins of Clinton, Missouri, John Collins of Independence, Missouri, Alfred Collins of Creighton, Missouri, Andy Collins of Independence, Missouri, and Phillip Collins of Independence, Missouri; four sisters, Joann Cloud of Pharr, Texas, Hazel Collins of Independence, Missouri, Donna McCurdy of Clinton, Missouri, and Patty Collins of Clinton, Missouri.
