Violet R. Moore, 92, Sturgeon, MO passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born July 23, 1926 the daughter of the late Emory and Jessie (Trout) Marlow. On September 1, 1946 she was united in marriage to William Robert Moore. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1987.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Marsha Heriaud and her husband Charles of Sheridan, IL, Lee Jacobsen and Steve Franz of Ashland, MO, Joyce Rector and her husband Jim of Philippi, WV, Gail Moore and Keith Neill of Columbia, MO, Bruce Moore and his wife Sandy of Rucker, MO and Karen Roberts and her husband Roger of Clark, MO; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, three sisters, one brother, a great grandson Daniel Rector and a son in law Charles Heriaud preceded her in death.
Violet first worked as an assembler for several manufacturing companies and later for Robinson's Cleaners in Columbia, MO. She attended the Community of Christ Church in Columbia and enjoyed travelling, gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Moore donated her body to science and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
