DIMMITT - Bobbie Damron, 82, died Thursday, May 3, 2007.

Prayer vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Keller officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Damron was born April 19, 1925, at home, east of Lockney, to James R. Langley and Esther Whitfill Langley. She graduated from West Texas State and married Clyde Harold Damron on Aug. 28, 1950, in Plainview.

Mrs. Damron was preceded in death by a sister Eunice Laurine Langley Covington and a brother Neil Andrew Langley.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Clyde H. Damron Jr. of Dimmitt; two daughters, Mary Lupo and Jeanne Carpenter, both of Austin; two brothers, James Langley of San Diego and Ralph Langley of Slaton; two sisters, Eloise Gallaway of Olton and Cecilia Higdon of Lubbock; and two grandchildren, Justin Matthew and Tracy Rebekah Damron.

The family suggests memorials be to Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 1001 W. Halsell, Dimmitt, TX 79027; or Hospice Cares, 112 W. Jones, Dimmitt, TX 79027.
