Dorothy Murhamer, age 87, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Francis W. Murhamer. Mrs. Murhamer was born in Crabbottom, Va., daughter of the late Charles and Ida Wimer, and was a resident of Pennsylvania and Connecticut most of her life. She retired from Hershey Metal Products and was a homemaker. She was the beloved mother of Sharon Grass and the late Carol Barone. She also leaves a sister, Helen Wimer; five loving grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road Shelton. Her funeral service will begin at 11a.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. At the request of the family memorial contributions may be made to the Murhamer Family Fund through the funeral director.
