The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel, in West Union, with Pastor Don Russell officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and before the services on Friday at the funeral home.
He was born May 25, 1928 in Clark County, son of Okla Lindley and Rachel Williamson Lindley. He married Etta S. Duty in 1965; she survives.
Other survivors include a son, David Lindley of Marshall; three daughters, Kris Lindley of Indianapolis, Ind., Lana Medcalf of West Terre Haute, Ind., and Diane Amacher of Marshall; four brothers, Richard Lindley of Marshall, Larry Lindley of Marshall, Franklin Lindley of Sullivan, Ind., and Jerry Lindley of Robinson; eight grrandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Lindley was a retired iron worker. He was a Navy veteran and member of Ironworkers Local 439, the Clark County American Legion Post 90 of Marshall and the West Union Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
