Catherine A. Gannett, Oswego resident was retired bank employee

Catherine A. Gannett, 84, of St. Luke's Health-Related Facility, Oswego, died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Oswego Hospital.

She was born in Mexico and lived there until moving to Dunkirk in 1942. She moved back to Mexico in 1981, then moved to Oswego in 1983. She was a teller at the State Bank of Parish and was a teller, assistant secretary and assistant manager at the M&T Bank of Dunkirk, retiring in 1971 after 29 years of service.

She was a part-time employee of Bates Furniture Co. in Dunkirk. She was a member and past president of the Dunkirk-Fredonia Zonta's Club.

Surviving are a sister, Ruth Rose of Zephyrhills, FL; two nieces, Barbara Campbell and Katherine Detor, both of Mexico;
and three nephews, Charles Dunning of Canastota, Carl Taylor of Wavcrly, and David Norten of Athens.

Services were held Ttiesday, Jan. 15 at the Harter-Obnstead Funeral Home, Mexico, the Rev. Earl Arnold officiating. Spring burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to St. Luke's Health-Related Facility in Oswego.
